Snack facility was a disaster! I think the staff on that particular evening (big Dutch order? Sunday night?) were well aware of the shortcomings of the processes. Some kind of ‘number on a spoon’ approach might help to identify who had ordered what. Our order of burger and sausage were both cold but we had waited nearly an hour and were very hungry so we ate them! From a health and safety perspective the young lady who took a reheated burger back in her bare hands rather than in a serviette is easily resolved. Cocktails were not so good and could have been improved with a little more alcohol.

A super nicely laid out campground in the park of a former castle. The old buildings are wonderfully restored/renovated and shine with charm for their respective uses. Reception, restaurant, shopping market, vacation apartments and sanitary buildings form the center of the place and are quickly and easily accessible. In the park there is a swimming pool with bar area. Perfect for children and adults. The pitches are also located in the park amidst the old trees. A great place!

Ablutions need a deep clean - especially the showers. A lot of inflexibility around opening times of shop, restaurant and bar. Bar was not open when meant to be. Probably needs greater supervision of junior staff to make the site more efficient.

Walked around camping site -did not like set up in woods - very dark and gloomy Toilet blocks not super near pitches which is a shame Water and WC waste facilities quite a walk from pitch for emptying. This was our third stay at this wonderful campsite. Tim and Jane are friendly hosts who always make you feel welcome. It was interesting to see how the site has developed in the 5 years since our first visit in 2018. It has retained all of the attractive features whilst adding to the team of staff as it has become more busy. It was the perfect place to relax as we commenced the homeward leg of 4 week trip around.

We stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. There are plenty of activities for children and beautiful walks. The pool is at a pleasant temperature and the complex itself is very well maintained. If you want to eat or drink, there is a wide range of options on site at affordable prices. The things that are available every day in the Milkbar and in the evenings also make your stay easier. There are many great destinations in the area.

Ich campe seit 38 Jahren. Das hier ist mit Abstand der schönste Campingplatz, den ich je gesehen habe. Eine Oase der Ruhe. Antike kombiniert mit "Boutique Moderne". Der Pool wunderbar, beheizt und Spaß für die ganze Familie. Kein unerfüllter Platz und viel Platz für die Bedürfnisse aller Familienmitglieder. Wir hatten eine Autopanne und uns wurde so freundlich geholfen, trotz Nationalfeiertag, so dass wir nun weiter können. Essen top. Angebote ausreichend. Mitarbeiter freundlich. Wir kommen wieder! Danke für den tollen Urlaubsstart an einem traumhaften Ort! Amboise und Tours besichtigen!

Die Dusche hätte einen etwas stärkeren Strahl haben können, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau....

It is an amazing atmosphere at this camping site with the château, the very comfortable pool and stylish buildings. Everything is fine and worthy at this site - even the spiritual atmosphere with service every morning.

Our initial pitch - right next to the basketball court. The checkin experience was done by a junior member of staff who wasn’t very communicative or welcoming - first impressions matter!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site is set in fabulous grounds of a chateau and very well maintained. Enjoyed the Monday Market and had a lovely meal at the restaurant sitting in the courtyard. We had a big pitch which was ideal for our motorhome. Hope to return in the future.

Rubbish disposal was a bit of a chore as it was a long walk.

We loved the relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful touches (like coffee whilst waiting in line to collect bread). Facilities are very clean and well maintained, pool is perfect and the shade on our pitch (B4) was wonderful. Owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. Basically, we loved everything!

Poor pitches, not level and pitted. No rules maintained in the pool, flippers , inflatables, balls everywhere. We helped a disabled lady access the pool, then noticed she was seriously distressed due to the chaos in the pool and had to get out, we felt the same. Everyone is on holiday and enjoying themselves but so many have total disregard and disrespect for other pool users. The hot water in the showers is either very cool or burning hot. The distribution of pre-ordered bread is totally disorganised. Expensive, used many French sites at less than 1/3 of the price?

Like warm reception, with no directions to plot or other amenities. This resulted in exiting the site via the one way system and having to re-enter the site to try again to find the plot. Rough plot in the middle of a forest with little sun and very limited views. Nearest toilet block essentially out of commission. Nearest water point not working.

The Orangerie is in a lovely setting. The large pitches are easily accessed. The pool is of a very high standard and the bar and restaurant are great. The owners make every guest feel welcome. It is perfectly placed to visit many of the outstanding delights of the Loire Valley.

it was great to return to this lovely, relaxed site. The pitches are generously sized, nearly all with water. The facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pool area is lovely and fully accessible, though those looking for slides and splash pools may be disappointed ( we weren't). The staff all work hard to make your stay pleasurable. The surrounding woodlands are great for walking (we have a dog and she loved it) and the local village 10 minutes walk away. the A10 motorway is about a 15 minute drive away. The site is well situated for visiting many of the Loire chateaux.

while you can order delicious bread and pastries, the shop really isn't a shop,. However there is a small supermarket in Villedomer just a short walk away. It would be nice to buy fresh milk, for example, locally.

We found this campsite in a lovely rural part of France. The owners are English and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were beautifully kept clean and plenty of them. We got to choose our pitch and as it was so hot 40 degrees we chose to go in the wooded area opposite the lawn. Our fridge was playing up so we were given a stand alone fridge to borrow for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.

Der Stellplatz ist riesengroß und sehr gepflegt gewesen. Schön unter der alten Eiche standen wir. Die Wege durch den Wald sind auch sehr schön. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Vielleicht könnte man einen kleinen Teich oder ein Becken für die Hunde zur Abkühlung einrichten.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt auf diesem Platz. Hat man ein Problem (.... und wir hatten zwei) wird einem ganz selbstverständlich geholfen. Wenn man bei 39 ° C anreist und über einen Platz ohne Baum unglücklich ist, dann wird doch noch ein passender schattiger Platz gesucht. Wenn man am Abreisetag eine Reifenpanne hat, wird einem ganz selbstverständlich geholfen und mit Hand angelegt. Die nächste Servicestation wird auch gleich informiert. Wenn das kein Service ist!!! Der Platz selber ist tadellos... die Lage, das Schloss-Ambiente, das Platzangebot und die Sauberkeit. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Mehr schattenspendende Bäume auf dem "Freigelände". Kein Stellplatz ohne Baum/Strauch!!!

Algehele sfeer op de camping en de mooie omgeving. Activiteiten voor de kinderen op het landgoed en de diversiteit aan activiteiten. Het winkeltje en de horeca. Vriendelijk ontvangst en behulpzaam personeel.

Toilet/douches niet op 4* niveau, minst aantrekkelijke punt van de camping. En onhandig dat ook in t hoogseizoen de bar en het restaurant niet elke avond open zijn. Zwembad was fijn maar aan de kleine kant voor een camping van deze omvang.

Prachtige omgeving en lekker rustig, grote plekken

Ik heb in de dagen dat wij er waren niet een keer iemand het sanitair zien schoonmaken! Ook is een grote schoonmaak in het sanitair erg nodig. Bij de ontvangst hadden we het gevoel dat we werden gedoogd maar voelden ons niet welkom!

Rust, hygiëne en vriendelijke mensen. Heerlijk zwembad. Alles tip top in orde. Eerst een verblijf van twee nachten gepland, maar zijn hier de rest van onze vakantie gebleven. Wat een heerlijke plek!

Mooi domein, veel ruimte, er verbleven veel mensen maar we hadden nooit de indruk dat het super druk was. De binnenspeelplaats voor de kinderen was super, ook het voetbalveld was heel goed. De speeltuin buiten mag misschien wat uitgebreid worden. het zwembad was verwarmd en super in orde.

wandelingen waren heel slecht aangegeven (deze van 5 km). We hebben de wandeling naar de molen gedaan maar die was grotendeels langs een drukke weg en dus niet aan te raden met kleine kinderen.

De standplaatsen zijn prachtig. Ruim, onder mooie oude bomen. Schaduwrijk met hier en daar een zonnig plekje. Het straalt rust uit, heel aangenaam. Daarnaast een mooie kasteeltuin en de aanblik van het kasteeltje. De struiken en bomen worden goed onderhouden. Naast de receptie een klein maar knus zwembadje met fijne ligstoelen. De ontvangst was hartelijk. In het bijgebouw - de oude boerderij - bevind zich het sanitair. Het is schoon en netjes. Een beetje verouderd misschien maar het is charmant en de tegels met motief en zachte kleuren passen bij de boerderij.

Enige minpuntje van de camping vind ik het restaurant. Aangezien er in de omgeving niet zoveel te doen is zou dat juist een goedlopend restaurant kunnen zijn maar het eten is kwalitatief echt niet voldoende en de prijs daarom te hoog. Dat is jammer. Omdat er niet veel te doen is in de omgeving denk ik dat er veelal gasten zijn die enkel een paar dagen blijven maar een beter restaurant zou misschien mensen overhalen om net wat langer te blijven.

Mooi domein. Vlakbij dorpje. Mooi schoon zwembad. Om 22:00 uur stil. Zeer gemoedelijke sfeer. Fijne eigenaren en vriendelijk personeel.

Ons plekje liep schuin af en was niet optimaal. Er zijn mooiere plekken op het terrein. Wellicht komt dit ook door onze late reservering (6 weken voor aankomstdatum). Water in de douches niet goed afgesteld. Of heel warm of te koud. Wellicht puntje van aandacht.

Fijne plek om te overnachten onderweg, sfeervol, leuk zwembad, prima plekken.

Dat er pas vanaf 9:30 koffie werd geserveerd, dat er geen water op onze plek was terwijl dat wel in de titel stond, weinig schaduw op de plekken. De snack shack had niet zo’n lekkere maaltijd. Helaas was het restaurant die avond dicht (zondag).
