Pitch looking over the river was lovely. Toilet blocks were very clean. Pool was great. Excellent path next to the river to walk, run or cycle. This can be accessed directly from the camp. Lively bars nearby.
Booked 2 pitches in error. Had to pay for both even though the second pitch was sold to another camper. We have evidence. WiFi - male receptionist said it was 5E for one day. It stopped working so went to pay again. Lovely female receptionist corrected - it was for 2 days. She restarted the WiFi. Our friends were told, separately from us, that it cost 5E a day - again the male receptionist. What is going on!?

Bonjour Thank you for your review, but we are quite surprised by its contents, you have made 2 bookings in error one through our website and one through caravan Club, no doubt CAMC did refund you. Regarding wifi we don't understand how anybody could tell you that the cost was 5 euros per day as it clearly in view on the board at reception that cost is 5 euros for 48 hours, 3 euros for 24 hours and 13 euros for a week. We also checked your ticket and it actually has been used 48 hours So please contact Caravan club to correct your mistaken booking regards

A very quiet clean well situated site. Friendly welcome on arrival. It can be very crowded and in the village too but we have stayed several times and would thoroughly recommend Camping L’Isle Verte.
Too crowded when we were there.

Les tourterelles n'ont pas de WC privé.... la piscine était plus frâiche que d'habitude.

Nous venons dans ce camping depuis à présent un an (3ème séjour) et nous sommes toujours aussi content de l'accueil, du confort des installations, de la qualité du restaurant et de la gentillesse du personnel. L'un des meilleurs campings familial que nous connaissions en France.

Good sized pitches, excellent staff especially reception and restaurant.
Only place to empty caravan waste water is at the motorhome point which dependent on your pitch could be a fair trek. Disappointed to see others caravan and motorhome owners refusing to make the walk and emptying waste water on their pitch, which just encourages smells and flies. Some extra emptying points would be useful.

We loved this site. We paid extra for a riverside pitch and was very pleased - beautiful views. Everything was well looked after and there were activities going on most days.
The only site this holiday (out of 4) that wouldn’t give us the ACSI discount - apparently it’s only available if you book by telephone! Disappointing as it was the most expensive of our sites we stayed at.

Everything went smoothly from check-in with the lovely & friendly staff , to be able to cycle/walk to the town in easy reach among other places too, the ooo is very relaxing & bar/bistro was great (food fabulous) & very reasonably priced. We shall return.

Site was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Site was nice and quite ,especially at night. Facilities always clean
When we booked we gave information on the size of our caravan,8m x 2.5m. On arrival we were given pitch 1 which was one of the smaller riverside pitches.it was also next to one of the pedestrian gates which was noisy when people just let it slam closed As we stayed longer we had to move to pitch 3 which was much better Also with caravans and motorhomes getting wider the entrance barrier could do with making wider by trimming bushes and moving some larger stones/rocks further away from the roadway.

As stated above first pitch ,number 1 was really too small for our 8m caravan and large car. Other pitches were much larger better.

We loved it here and stayed an extra day. Riverside plot was super. Try to make it to include a Monday as we had a drinks reception and other local food and drink on offer to buy.
Not really. They could tidy the grounds and weeds a little around the site but seem to look after reception area gardens well. But overall we loved it and the village facilities great and just a short walk.

Riverside location a great option, very tranquil site, bike path adjoins the site. Very clean showers, plenty of hot water, staff very helpful.
The 10 euro booking fee is irritating but apparently a standard fee.

Great view over River, good size pitch, welcome breeze. Feel secure and relaxed.
Be aware you do get a few bugs at sunset but they are not bitey ones, don't use bright white lights it just attracts them.

Lovely spot riverside. Clean showers and toilets. Lovely heated pool. So close to the shops and bars. Wonderful to be able to cycle along the river
Service in restaurant poor. Given wrong meal and had to wait a long time for this to be corrected without apology. Husband accepted wrong frites with meal instead of vegetables ordered and had to ask for wine to be served halfway through main course. Was looking forward to a nice meal but ended up eating main course separately. It felt like waitress was more interested in her French customers. Our French is very basic but we tried to order in French and waitress took the order correctly. The mistake seemed to happen from the kitchen. Our pitch was in full sun and very hot.

It was quite a quite site with individual pitches with hedges between making them very private, there was not a lot of facilities but we never had to queue to use them, the staff in the bar/resturant were always very polite and attentive. The site is in a stunning area of the Loire Valley
The pool although clean and well kept was very busy and not really well supervised with children continually running and jumping into the water which made it impossible to swim, so despite how hot it was we only used it the once and kept to the shade at other times. But this is our only criticism of the site

We had a riverside pitch and it was beautiful with ample sunshine and shade from the trees, and a lovely view of the river and the easily accessed footpath and cycle tracks.
Only problem was the distance from the electric hook up point to the pitch where my 25 metre cable was not quite long enough, but a very kind fellow camper lent me his cable which was spare, so my plan is to get a spare for the future.

The location is brilliant if you want to get out and about with lovely villages within walking distance and bigger towns close by. A lovely bike ride along the river to Saumur City.
Very small shop in village which ifng open sll the time.

Pitches with river view are a lite more shaded. Great if the weather is hot, but not so much if its cooler.

Perfectly located by river and nearby village with amenities
Riverside pitch had fence and public footpath at end of it so not very private. Not enough shade and decent loungers round the pool. In need of some TLC. Lots of different levels around pool not very good for anyone with reduced mobility. Having to take your shoes off around pool and walk in very hot ground

A well run site with very helpful English speaking staff. We had a lovely good size pitch overlooking the Loire
at 30 euros per night it is expensive and have stayed in sites that are as good with riverside pitch for a lot less.

Mooie omgeving om te fietsen
Het niet kunnen aangeven op de boekingssite (op aanraden van camping na gebeld te hebben en een mail gestuurd te hebben) dat je Acsi-campingcard hebt. 's Avonds na 10 uur moet het stil zijn en is ook de ruimte met wastafels niet meer verlicht.

Camping meteen aan de Loire fietsroute en schitterend landschap langs wijngaarden en tussen grotwoningen. Ook leuk dorp met heel dicht bij de bakker.
De aankomst was chaotisch omdat veel caravans gelijktijdig aankwamen. Je mag nl pas om 14:00 u op de camping en dus veel boze automobilisten omdat de weg geblokkeerd was. En
