This was our 15th year at La Garangeoire. That’s all I really need to say about what we think of the place.

L’environnement dans et autour du camping, les activités pour les enfants, le resto.

La piscine doit être un peu juste quand le camping est rempli ( ce qui heureusement n’était pas notre cas) et l’éloignement de tout ( magasin, mer ). Pour les camping- cariste, une petite voiture de location serait la bienvenue.

Nous avons aimé les emplacements spacieux, la propreté des sanitaires, le complexe aquatique assez grands le très bon accueil reçu aussi bien à l'accueil que dans les autres prestations

The site has a calm quality that has to be experienced to understand it, some guests have returned for over 30 years which speaks for itself. We appreciate the efforts the site owners and staff undertake in order to maintain their already high standard and develop the site without losing that essential La Garangeoire feel. We have been to many sites across France and other EU countries, but nothing compares to this site, for us it’s sets the standard. We’ll hopefully return next year ??

Pool too small - lack of lighting / there was none on grass evening entertainment area so sat in the dark. Shop limited things to buy sweets / stuff for kids. Kids arcade could be vastly improved. More for the teenagers, pool area just for them one evening

This is our third time staying here and we love it. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The toilets and all public areas are kept very clean and tidy. We appreciate the quietness of the campsite that the staff maintain it makes our holiday relaxing and enjoyable. We will be back again and again

We booked La Garangoire, not knowing what to expect and I couldn't have been happier. From the moment you pull into the entrance what an amazing place. Everything was kept to a very high level, from the gardens to the cleanliness of the facilities. The staff everywhere were friendly and helpful, always greeted with a smile. The food in the take away and restaurant were of fantastic quality and price. We will return.

A little more choice in on the menu's wouldn't go a miss.

Great for families with great entertainment if you wanted it. Restaurant food better than average. Good takeaway. All staff very polite and pleasant with English spoken.

Pool on late nights too crowded. If you are a novice rider as my wife was I would avoid the stables. I realise that they are not part of the site but unfortunately she had a fall and no accident forms were completed and there was only one lead rider with her. It was ok for little rides for children if led or experienced riders.

Generally quiet site, lovely staff in all areas from reception the moment we arrived to all other staff we came across. The site is lovely and clean, with lots of activities available. We will be back.

A very minor issue but some of the signage around the park could do with being made clearer, eg. No clear indication of where to stop when you first arrive on site.

Nice campsite. Facilities all very clean and well maintained. Very nice pool complex. Plenty of activities day and night catering for most people. Plenty of nice country walks around the campsite

Not a lot to dislike. Not enough staff to cater for the amount of customers in the bar. Site is out in the countryside too far from anything, feeling a bit contained. Everything a little expensive compared to other sites we used with comparable facilities.

You really need to consider making the pool larger or upgrading the lagoon so you can actually swim in this.

The way the road set up is with the bikes lane finishing on a corner is going to result in a child being hit by a car and potentially killed. This area is very dangerous and needs to be reconsidered with an alternative layout.

The impressive chateau as you arrive, the proximity to wonderful nature., including the fantastic planting around the reception/ bar areas, the size and layout of the pitches, the helpful and welcoming staff and a safe and secure family feel. Few sites create such loyalty from customers of all ages.

We’ve stayed at French campsites for years but La Garangeoire is the best by far. Really spacious, clean and discretely laid out, safe for kids to cycle round independently. Kids loved the cashless wrist tags lol. Mini market well stocked, fresh bread & pasties daily! We cooked at pitch mostly but had take away pizzas twice, delicious!! Staff are genuine & super friendly. Cycle paths & lakes superb. Lots of activities available we didn’t get to do all. Kids loved horse riding in forest. Pool area was perfect for our kids 10 & 7, life guards attentive & polite. We’ll be back next year.

There’s a lot going on, the grounds are beautiful, the walking trails and lake are great. The lagoon offers a nice option to avoid busy pool area. Kids loved the water slides. The evening entertainment for kids (magic show, kapla, carnival) all very good

For campsite that size, pool didn’t feel big enough, often very crowded so tricky to keep a good eye on kids. Weather wasn’t great, but obviously that’s not a reflection on the campsite

All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you and ensure that your stay goes without a hitch. Whilst we didn’t use the animations those staff were particularly friendly. You could see Emma’s smile a mile off. The guys in the cycle reception were particularly helpful when I had problems with my mobility scooter.

It would be better if the toilets etc were closed whilst being cleaned

Overall another great holiday at La Garangeoire. A super campsite with something for everyone, especially our 2 teenagers. We were slightly disappointed with the quality of the restaurant this year and we only visited once. Reception staff were more than amazing from arrival to departure. Overall a wonderful holiday and we have booked again for next year.

As always and after many return visits Garangeoire never disappoints. The atmosphere and the surroundings along with the welcome we receive when we arrived is faultless. Peaceful and relaxing from the moment we arrived till we left. 2 weeks just flew by and can’t wait to return.

Quite an English site at the time we were there. Lack of loungers by the pool due to people leaving towels on them all day when not there.

Since 2014 we have looked forward to our stays at La Garangeoire. Having not being there since 2019 we were a little disappointed with one aspect this year. The bar running out of stock in high season is not good - running out of beer, draught and bottle, running out of tonic are just the items we encountered, but our many friends there encountered the same and said that the same happened last year. Also, closing the small bar closing at 10pm in high season is very disappointing. Over the years we have enjoyed many quiet evenings here with our friends, when we don't want the loud big bar.

The site advertises peacefulness and tranquility, no wifi apart from the reception and bar areas. Top be fair they almose achieve this, the reception complex, bar and restaurant are all easily accessible, clean and welcoming, the swimming pool complex is again clean and cared for although showing some signs af needing repair, pool edge. The toilet blocks, whilst a very few are dated, are spotless and all in good order, just as you would expect. The pitches are all well partitioned with hedges and are spacious. All in all an excellent location.

Eurocamp. Far too many cabins all squashed together with children misbehaving, almost as if the parents have said, stuff this discipline lark we are on holiday. Lack of night security to stop the noise at the campsites quiet hours, 10.30 till 8am. So unless you like the chance of being stuck beside the noise brigade, I suggest you get a pitch away from the huts. To balance this I am not against children and the enjoyment they get on holiday bvut the parents have to keep a better check on them, especially during quiet hours.

Allocated a caravan pitch which was very shaded and uneven facing back of Eurocamp cabins. Changed to pitch that didn't have water that we'd paid for but at least was near other tourers.

We arrived on Sunday 21/05 and strayed for 18 nights. This is a wonderful site with immaculate facilities at all times during our stay. The site was just open a few days and everything was in tip-top shape for the duration of our holiday.

Nice site, surprisingly quiet for such a large place. Tiolets/showers were clean and tidy, restaurant and bar well stocked and a variety of food. Pool was warm, many families with children but was ot be expected given the time of year.

Reception were amazing. Always helpful and went out of their way to help us with a local garage when we had a flat battery. They were so helpful with booking activities or giving us discount codes. Showers and toilets were very clean and never busy. The pool was brilliant for kids as well as the play area and mini golf. The lagoon was lovely for playing with inflatables. All staff were friendly and helpful.

No sinks at the ladies toilets apart from in 1 unisex toilet.

Water fountain unreliable- not worth the money. Staff were unwilling to re credit you when it didn't work. One or two noisy pitches after midnight. Would definitely stay again though.

Spacious pitches, warm and friendly reception, in every way. Ambience is wonderful with a clientele who have a genuine affection for a lovely, well run site.

Swimming pool simply does not cope in high season, but Covid ended plans for redevelopment, for the moment.

This is our 2nd visit in 3 years. The site is perfectly kept, clean, inviting and with great facilities. Kids club and entertainment are also of a good standard.

The water quality of the pool is poor. The pool is cloudy with limited vision. Previously on our 1st visit this was not the case, the water was crystal clear. I appreciate that a lot of this is suncream from bathers but other campsites we have stayed on this year are much clearer. Also there is a lot of green algae in the lagoon.

Friendly staff, a warm welcome, spacious pitch and good, clean toilet blocks and washing facilities. The area is beautiful and I got out on some wonderful bike rides. Nice choice of beaches within 40 mins drive and nearer.

Pool area is too small for the number of guests - there is not enough space and not enough sun loungers for all. Despite the signs asking people to refrain from reserving or keeping sun loungers they are not using, it happens all the time. Families put their towels out taking many sun loungers and are gone from the pool area for hours at a time. We were disappointed with the Friday night quiz which we have always enjoyed in the past years. It is now done on mobile phone, can't be done really as a team and the translation of the questions from French to English is not very good. Shame

Always queues in the shop. They need to put on an extra person at the till in busy times. Showers are good but could be better if I’m being picky.

Children loved the pool and the on site events including the games room horse riding, go karting and football camps. We felt our children were very safe on site which is so important.

The water stations idea is very good bit no fizzy water for much of our stay ....and we wanted fizzy water. Also QR code didn't work many times which made it very frustrating for us. One water point didn't work at all which meant queues at main one. Bar service poor and slow. Also felt some bar staff were unfriendly and looked bored.

Warm freindly welcome with helpful obliging staff. New flower beds and play area near the pool area have substantially enhanced the environment.. The new enviroment friendly systems are a great improvement especially once we were used to the bar code lottery sorting! We had a damaged caravan tyre which the staff helped us replave via a local dealer. We have been coming for a number of years at approximately the same time of the year so it was good to beat covid and renew aquantancies.

We appreciate that not much can be done about it but but wish there was a way to convince fellow visitors to be more respectful of the facilities and in particular flushing the toilets properly.

Waiter in restaurant forgot our dessert order, when reminded he still forgot and we were left waiting and wondering if it would turn up. When asking for the bill we cancelled the desert. Head waiter said they were very busy. However, we noticed other diners had their desserts. Both waiters apologised but we were left disappointed.

Liked everything, been here a number of times over many years and it never fails to meet our expectations .We stayed in our caravan in late May which is early season for the site but everything was up and running. Staff friendly and helpful and owners are in evidence around the site making sure everything is running smoothly Facilities good for all young and old, particularly for young families. Restaurant very good and the take away is second to none offering dishes from the restaurant menu as well as the normal fayre.

De camping wordt keurig onderhouden. Ruime staanplaatsen, leuke speelgelegenheden, prima afhaal en restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel. Campinggasten voornamelijk uit Ierland en Engeland. Lagune is een leuke toevoeging. Wandelroutes vanaf de camping zijn handig. Het dorpje St Julien is niks te beleven. Strand op 20 a 30 minuten rijden.

Voor diverse activiteiten zoals boogschieten of yoga moet je bijbetalen. Moet gewoon inclusief zijn is onze mening.

Het gras stond redelijk lang in de percelen. Heel jammer dat de Cani-douche (hondendouche) onbruikbaar was wegens niet onderhouden en in een vervallen gebouw, een tegenvaller voor een camping die zich profileert als hondenvriendelijk.

De medewerkers van de receptie waren alleraardigst. Mooie ligging, vlakbij zee. De animatie vindt plaats op een apart gedeelte van de camping, dus daar heb je geen last van.

Het is een hele rustige camping, maar om half elf moet het helemaal stil zijn en kom je de camping ook niet meer op met de auto of de fiets. Dat vinden wij, vier volwassenen, wel aan de erg vroege kant!

De camping is prachtig gelegen langs een bos waar het fijn is om te wandelen en ook dichtbij de stranden. Mooie grote staanplaatsen. Super onderhouden.
