Nice camping, activities for kids, swimming pool, people and the bar is nice!
Apartment needs an update. Everything is old and smells dusty.

Thank you for your feedback, but we really find it a bit harsh. You were staying in the Petite Orangerie, a very old building from the 15th century, so it is normal that you might notice a smell of dust. You came to reception because you felt the cleaning had not been done properly and provided photos as proof — photos that you had taken under the furniture, so of course a few cobwebs may be found there. Even though we felt these photos were exaggerated, we decided to refund you the cleaning fee and offer you a bottle of rosé. We therefore feel that this rating is not fair, in addition to not being justified. At the very beginning, you made a mistake with your booking, thinking we were located by the sea, and you wanted to cancel when you realized we weren’t. Since the deposit was non-refundable, you kept the booking — perhaps that explains this review?

Beds are nice. Garden is really nice! We spend a lot of time in the garden.
Shower is old, living room smells dusty and everything is really old.

Valerie and Benoit are at the heart of what makes Chanteloup so special. When we come here we feel like family. The children love exploring the grounds and participating in all the activities. We can’t say enough about how wonderful Chanteloup is.

Le grand appartement est situé au premier étage sous les toits dans une dépendance du château. Il est composé d'un grand séjour avec cuisine équipée ouverte, d'un coin salon et d'un espace avec 2 lits 1 personne séparé par un paravent pour plus d'intimité. Il y a une salle de bain ainsi que 2 toutes petites chambres avec 1 lit 1 personne, idéales pour des enfants. Il y a aussi une belle chambre séparée avec 2 lits 1 personne et sa salle de bain privative. Une chambre supplémentaire mitoyenne peut être jointe sur demande et avec supplément. Il bénéficie d'un petit jardin privatif avec mobilier de jardin en bois et barbecue. L'escalier pour y accéder est assez raide.
